Why We Created the PowerStore Range

My recent visit to the Solargenic project in Strath Creek reinforced something we’ve been seeing across many of the projects we’re supporting at DPA.
The conversation has shifted.
For Frank and Jenni, the challenge wasn’t simply adding battery storage. It was improving resilience, making better use of their existing solar generation and reducing reliance on manual backup processes.
The solution wasn’t a single product.
It was the combination of technology, thoughtful system design, and collaboration among the installer, Solargenic, and DPA as the technical solutions partner.
That’s where installers create real value, and it’s where distributors need to evolve as well.
Our role isn’t simply supplying equipment. It’s helping our customers navigate increasingly complex energy solutions by providing the products, technical expertise and support needed to deliver successful projects.
The products themselves haven’t become less important. What’s changed is the need to bring proven technologies together to create complete energy solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
Those conversations led us to ask a simple question:
How can we make it easier for installers to specify proven energy storage solutions?
The answer is the new DPA PowerStore range.
PowerStore brings together proven technologies from Deye and Discover Energy Systems into complete, carefully matched system packages that simplify system selection and reduce design time, while giving installers confidence that the major components have already been matched to work together.Just as importantly, PowerStore has been designed with the future in mind. Customers’ energy needs often change over time, so the platform can be expanded through an optional expansion kit without requiring a complete system redesign. Individual battery modules can also be serviced or replaced independently, making ongoing maintenance simpler and helping minimise disruption should servicing ever be required.
Whether it’s the PowerStore 16, PowerStore 32 or PowerStore 48, the philosophy is the same: provide scalable, practical solutions that give installers a strong foundation while still allowing the flexibility to tailor every installation to their customer’s needs.
In fact, the Strath Creek installation is a perfect example. The system combined a Deye hybrid inverter with two Discover Helios batteries—what is now our PowerStore 32 platform—to deliver greater energy independence, improved resilience and better use of the customer’s existing solar system.
As the energy transition continues, customers are asking broader questions and expecting more sophisticated solutions. That’s creating exciting opportunities for installers who are prepared to think beyond individual products and focus on solving real customer challenges.
At DPA, that’s exactly where we are investing our time and expertise.

We’re excited to officially launch the DPA PowerStore range on 1 July, and I look forward to sharing more with you over the coming weeks.
