Overview

The Victron Buck-Boost DC–DC Converter is specifically designed for charging 12 V or 24 V service batteries in vehicles equipped with intelligent alternators.

In modern Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles, the alternator output is often controlled by onboard electronics and does not consistently deliver the correct charging voltage. The Buck-Boost DC–DC Converter stabilises and regulates this output, ensuring the service battery is charged correctly whenever the engine is running.
