Overview

The Victron AGM Super Cycle Battery is the result of recent advances in battery electrochemistry, specifically developed for applications requiring exceptional deep-cycle performance. The positive plate paste formulation is far less sensitive to softening, even when the battery is repeatedly discharged to 100% depth of discharge (DoD).

In addition, new electrolyte additives significantly reduce sulfation during deep discharge. This combination enables the AGM Super Cycle battery to outperform conventional AGM batteries in harsh cycling environments.

Key Features

Enhanced Electrochemical Design

  • Positive plate paste engineered to resist softening
  • Advanced electrolyte additives to minimise sulfation
  • Optimised for extreme deep-cycle duty

Proven 100% DoD Performance

  • Tested to withstand at least 300 cycles at 100% DoD
  • Daily discharge to 10.8 V at 0.2C
  • Includes extended rest periods in a fully discharged condition

Exceptional Resistance to Discharge Damage

  • Unaffected by two-hour rest periods while fully discharged
  • Most conventional AGM batteries fail within 100 cycles under similar conditions
  • Designed to tolerate harsh and irregular cycling profiles

Recommended Applications

  • Occasional discharge to 100% DoD
  • Frequent discharge to 60–80% DoD
  • Off-grid, backup, mobile, and industrial energy storage systems
