Overview

The Victron Argodiode Battery Isolators allow multiple batteries to be charged simultaneously from a single alternator without electrically connecting the battery banks together. This ensures that discharging an accessory or auxiliary battery does not also discharge the starter battery.

By using high-efficiency Schottky diodes, Argodiode Battery Isolators deliver dependable battery isolation with a low voltage drop, making them ideal for marine, automotive, and mobile power systems.

Key Features

Multi-Battery Charging & Isolation

  • Charges two or more batteries from one alternator
  • Keeps battery banks electrically isolated
  • Protects the starter battery from discharge

Low Voltage Drop Performance

  • Schottky diode technology for reduced power loss
  • Approximately 0.3 V voltage drop at low current
  • Approximately 0.45 V voltage drop at rated output

Alternator Voltage Compensation

  • Built-in compensation diode
  • Allows slight increase of alternator output voltage
  • Compensates for voltage drop across isolator diodes

Solid-State Construction

  • No moving parts for enhanced reliability
  • Designed for demanding marine and mobile environments
