Overview

The Victron Battery Balancer is an intelligent device designed to equalise the state of charge of series-connected batteries, ensuring balanced performance and extended battery life. It is commonly used in 24 V systems consisting of two series-connected 12 V batteries, as well as in larger battery banks with multiple parallel strings.

When the charge voltage of a 24 V battery system rises above 27 V, the Battery Balancer activates and compares the voltage of each battery. It then draws up to 1 A from the battery with the higher voltage, allowing all batteries in the system to converge to the same state of charge.
