Overview

The Victron Cyrix-Li-ct is a lithium-compatible battery combiner designed to automatically connect a lead-acid starter battery with a LiFePO₄ battery. Its functionality is similar to the standard Cyrix-ct, with additional intelligence to safely integrate lithium battery systems.

By monitoring both battery voltage and the Charge Disconnect signal from a VE.Bus BMS, the Cyrix-Li-ct ensures safe and reliable battery combining while protecting lithium cells from overvoltage and overtemperature conditions.

Key Features

Intelligent Lithium Battery Integration

• Parallels lead-acid and LiFePO₄ batteries during charging
• Engages when Charge Disconnect output from VE.Bus BMS is high
• Activates at ≥13.4V (12V systems) or ≥26.8V (24V systems)

Immediate Safety Disconnect

• Disengages instantly on cell overvoltage or overtemperature
• Disconnects when control output becomes free-floating
• Disconnects when battery voltage drops below 13.2V

Start Assist Function

• Short negative control pulse closes relay for 30 seconds
• Provides temporary assistance for engine starting

Integrated Transient Protection

• Built-in transient voltage suppressor
• Limits voltage spikes during sudden relay disengagement
