Overview

The Victron Cyrix-Li-ct is a lithium-compatible battery combiner designed to safely parallel connect a lead-acid starter battery with a LiFePO₄ battery. Its operation mirrors the standard Cyrix-ct, with additional logic to ensure safe integration with lithium battery systems.

By working in conjunction with the VE.Bus BMS and monitoring battery voltage thresholds, the Cyrix-Li-ct ensures reliable battery combining while protecting lithium cells from overvoltage and overtemperature conditions.

Key Features

Intelligent Lithium Battery Combining

• Parallels lead-acid and LiFePO₄ batteries during charging
• Engages when Charge Disconnect output of VE.Bus BMS is high
• Activates at ≥13.4V (12V systems) or ≥26.8V (24V systems)

Immediate Safety Disconnect

• Disengages instantly on cell overvoltage or overtemperature
• Disconnects when control output becomes free floating
• Disconnects when battery voltage drops below 13.2V

Start Assist Function

• Short negative control pulse closes relay for 30 seconds
• Provides temporary assistance for engine starting

Integrated Transient Protection

• Built-in transient voltage suppressor
• Limits voltage spikes during sudden relay disengagement
