Description

Overview

The Victron Cyrix-Li-load is a lithium-compatible load disconnect relay designed to safely manage non-essential loads in LiFePO₄ battery systems. Operating in conjunction with a Victron BMS, it protects lithium batteries from over-discharge and unsafe operating conditions.

By intelligently disconnecting and reconnecting loads based on battery voltage and BMS signals, the Cyrix-Li-load ensures reliable system operation while maximising battery protection.

Key Features

Immediate Load Disconnection

  • Disengages instantly when the BMS control input becomes free floating
  • Protects lithium batteries during low-voltage or fault conditions

Automatic Reconnect Logic

  • Reengages 30 seconds after battery voltage recovery
  • Allows up to three automatic re-engagement attempts
  • Prevents rapid cycling of loads during low battery events

Recharge Detection Safeguard

  • Remains disengaged after three attempts until recharge is detected
  • Reconnects only after battery voltage exceeds 13V (12V), 26V (24V), or 52V (48V) for at least 30 seconds
  • Ensures loads are restored only when active charging is present
