Overview

The Victron Smart BatteryProtect is an intelligent battery protection device designed to disconnect non-essential loads before a battery becomes excessively discharged. This prevents permanent battery damage and ensures sufficient reserve power remains available to start an engine or critical system.

Featuring built-in Bluetooth for easy configuration, automatic system voltage detection, and advanced delay logic, the Smart BatteryProtect is suitable for 12V and 24V systems using both lead-acid and lithium batteries. It can also function as a system on/off switch, offering flexible control for mobile, marine, and off-grid power systems.

Advanced Protection & Safety

• Over-voltage protection disconnects loads above 16.3V (12V) or 32.6V (24V)
• Ignition-proof design using MOSFET switches (no relays, no sparks)
• Automatic voltage detection for 12V or 24V systems

Delayed Disconnect, Reconnect & Alarm

• Load disconnect delayed by 90 seconds to prevent nuisance trips
• Load reconnect delayed by 30 seconds after voltage recovery
• Alarm output activates after 12 seconds below disconnect voltage
• Short-circuit-proof open collector alarm output (max 50 mA)
